BAILA, MAKING DANCE FITNESS A WAY OF LIVING...

Welcome to BaiLa (By La) the Spanish Word For "Dance".

BaiLa was created officially in 2012 by Daniel Jaime, Professional Dancer &

Choreographer, born in Bogota Colombia, and raised in Brazil.

After a drastic change in his life, Daniel decided to move to Melbourne Australia to continue his personal growth in 2009.  Learning from scratch how to speak English, and for some time not being able to communicate with anyone due to the language barrier, Daniel started performing and teaching all around Melbourne, making dancing his only way of communication with the world.

 

BaiLa was fully inspired by the need to connect with anyone of any culture, gender, or race through the magical and universal language of numbers. 

 

Daniel had no choice, but to use his hands to lead hundreds, giving birth in one night to a whole new concept of teaching dance, while moving a full crowd in synchronicity.

Using his unique numbered system,  people continue to attend his classes, workshops, and events everywhere he goes around the globe.

My Story

Everything started by following my heart!!

My passion for movement, energy, and self discovery is the key to who I am today.

My Mum always said, "I never stopped dancing, kicking, and wanting to get started in life whilst still in the womb". This is why I started my career as a professional dancer and martial artist at the age of 11 years old, and later on becoming a health and fitness advocate.

Once I decide to pursue something, I will not stop until I become the greatest version of myself. I strive for making anything possible whilst creating unimaginable things that others think as impossible.

 

I started teaching dance, Capoeira (Brazilian Martial Art), And Group Fitness classes at the age of 14, wanting to help and support my Mum at the time. Being a single Mother in a 3rd world country, is not easy!!

I am sure anyone with a similar background can relate to my story!!

l always remembered that famous quote in my mind:

"What Doesn't Kill You, Makes You Stronger" For myself, I can say proudly it is true...

 

Creating BaiLa as I mentioned above, was an unexpected surprise that the universe gifted me, at the right time, in the right moment.

Like some would say "It Was Meant To Be"

Discovering such a unique method being able to lead hundreds, thousands, or even millions of people all at once, makes one feel powerful and understand that talent is within us if we believe in it.  Nevertheless talent alone is not enough as we need skill and discipline in order to reach our full potential.

 

As the years past, I became a fully certified Fitness/Personal Trainer And Consultant, as well as a Mindset Mentor Specialising in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), Hypnosis And Time Line Therapy. Giving me a broader understanding of what I had created back in 2012.  Inadvertently, I had created an unconscious teaching method, that works with all humans.

The Numbered System is based on 10 basic steps per style. 

Every step is based on the professional dance style and genre.

Like numbers, each step has infinite variations.

BaiLa provides the easiest way to learn choreography.

BaiLa is for anyone with or without dance experience.
